Inverter (Variable Frequency Drive) is widely used on many industries able to save energy and reduce shock of major equipment due to the motor is started.
The major principles of the inverter:
Adjust the speed of motor
In order to ensure the reliability of the production device, the driving capacity has a certain margin compared with the design load. Therefore, many motors do not operate at full load, so that the excess torque increases the consumption of active power, resulting in a waste of electricity. In this case, the inverter speed control function can reduce the running speed of the motor, so that the motor reduces the consumption of electric energy while maintaining the constant voltage.
Dynamic accommodate the load changes
The measurement and control output function of the frequency converter itself continuously monitors the load changes, and makes rapid adjustments to accommodate the load changes, so that the output of the motor always maintains high efficiency.
V/F function
Under the condition of ensuring the motor output torque, the frequency conversion itself can automatically adjust the V/F curve, reduce the output torque of the motor and reduce the input current, so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving.
Reduce the start current
When the motor is started, the starting current is large and causes the power grid to fluctuate. The soft start function of the frequency converter can gradually increase the motor starting current from 0 to the rated current of the motor, reduce the impact of the starting current on the power grid, and also reduce the large impact of the starting inertia on the equipment.
Improve the power factor
Most three-phase asynchronous motors belong to the perceptual load, because the motor absorbs a large amount of reactive power during operation, resulting in a low power factor.Through the rectifier filtering process of the converter improving the power factor, so the reactive loss is reduced.
